Pool Safety Covers
The safety cover is made of mesh or solid vinyl that attaches to the pool deck anchors with straps. The straps are about 5 feet apart around the pool. Safety covers prevent accidental drowning and further protect children, pets and neighbors. In addition, the safety cover keeps dirt, debris and leaves out of the pool. It also helps prevent the growth of algae in the pool when the temperature rises again in the spring. They also improve the appearance of your pool area during the offseason.
All covers come complete with brass anchors, stainless steel springs, an installation tool, and a storage bag. Both the mesh and solid covers are strong enough to support up to 4,000 lbs, while the commercial grade can withstand up to 5200 lbs. All of our safety covers meet or exceed all federal safety pool cover performance standards including ASTM F 134691.
Winter Pool Covers
It is essential to limit the amount of dirt and debris that gets into your pool. The winter pool cover protects your water and makes it easier to open your pool in the spring. Unlike safety covers, winter covers do not provide additional security or protection from accidental injury or drowning.
Underground and in-ground pool covers are similar in design and purpose, but different in how they are held in place. Most manufacturers recommend a water bag to secure the cover in place. For ground pools, the owner places and tightens the winter cover on top of the pool. Then weave a thin cable into the grommet along the perimeter of the cover. Finally, tighten the cover with a winch.
Winter pool covers continue to be one of the most popular ways to cover your pool during the winter. They are suitable for budget sensitive pool owners who want to save some money towards the end of the year. It’s also much easier to install than a security cover, and depending on the environment, it usually lasts for 13 years.

Which one is better for your pool?
The automatic pool safety cover can be used for the same purpose as the winter cover, but with various additional benefits. The safety cover provides the same protection from debris, but also adds an additional element of safety that is important if a small child is near your pool. If you are thinking of using your security cover as a winter cover, there are a few things to consider.
You need to choose the coverage that suits your environment. For example, in warm winter climates, you can choose a cover with a pump. In other cases, you may prefer a pool cover with a drain that returns excess water to the pool. Learn more about these types of robust security covers.
